What remains when life is not present? By comparing the skeleton of man and shells, there was created a hybrid skeleton that showcase the most characteristic features of the visual appearance.
Mimmi is manly exploring the faceless portrait using analogue and digital techniques. Recently she developed the interest of moving organically between photo and sculpture to investigate how these crafts elevate each other. Working with masks, angles and diverse objects to conceal the personal identity in her work she raises questions about gender, norms and bias. Working with non defined identity, and question what makes the portrait a portrait, ontology and existence naturally becomes part of her process. Who are we?
